Got several texts from this unknown caller. They want my personal ID and bank numbers.
Said They will send me a check for $300. Scammers trying to steal identity!
Got a few texts from someone wanting to buy what I am trying to sell on CL. They are the usual "I am out of state" [***], "I will add $50 for your troubles" [***], "once the check I write to you clears" [***], "my movers will come pick it up at your location" [***]. Why do these [***] even bother?
I got contacted by a person with this number after they stole my friend's facebook identity and then contacted everyone with a sob story begging for money. Wanted us all to wire money. My real friend with to the police with all sorts of documentation and was told unless any of us actually lost money to the fake person there was nothing they could or would do. Person's English is horrendous and person's communications become increasingly hostile (for a "friend"!).
