Received a text from this number wanting to order cosmetic products and asking that I text them my email address so they could send me more details. Claimed that they got my phone from the back of my catalog - I'm not in California - scammer.

I too received a text message from someone wanting to order cosmetics, that they received my number from the back of one of my catalog and that they needed my email. Ironically I print my email on the back of every catalog, and I don't live in California either. Have family there, but my family always gives me a heads up especially if they're sharing my info.
Brown Mabel claiming to be a deaf woman. Trying to place a Mary Kay order with me. Wants my email, and home address in order to place a $200.00 order for cosmetic products. Scammer I quickly figured her out.
Signs that this is a scammer:
Claims to be deaf (so you won't call them and hear their real voices)
Will only email or text
Can't meet in person
