Calling to say the wanted to medically compensate me. I told them they had the wrong person, that I was Cynthia. He then said oh yes yes, Cynthia that is who I was looking for, I hung up.
I got the same call today twice. My mistake for picking up the phone and answering some guy with an indian accent with a condescending tone to his voice greeted me by name so when I asked yes that's she who is calling? he stated his "name" and said that he was from the medical compensation department some made-up [***] lie he came up with which I immediately hung up. An hour later he called back again but this time I didn't answer I just simply pull the left button to the right and hang up.
I have been receiving calls on my personal cell and my work phone non stop for 3 days. stating they are from the legal department. When I knew this was an erroneous call I stated to the caller "Eat crap and die you [***]" to which his response was "Hey stupid" do not answer for this caller.
He said his name was "Kevin," and the call was in regards to a legal matter.
They were attempting to reach me on my cell phone, and since the number was unknown, I did not answer. He called me 3 times in a row, so I called them back on my work line. Both numbers have different area codes, and are completely different numbers. Without asking me my name or number, "Kevin" said he had received information my recent blood panel. He said my results were taken after I began taking blood thinners. I politely told him it was incorrect, and he thanked me for my time, and hung up.
If I went along with this call, he would have attempted to gather my personal information. No one brings up "medical" records without confirming who they are speaking to.... Unfortunately, Kevin called with bad intentions. Do your folks, friends, and neighbors a favor, and remind them to not share any of their personal information with anyone that calls them from an unknown number.
