I recieved a private call on my cell phone saying they have tried to send 2 times for someone to sign a paper, however no one has been by my house. That it is policy that if they bring it twice and no one answer they have to call and I am to call this number 424-250-3868 to talk with them. When I call it's just a recording and wants me to leave my information. I refuse to leave my information.
Debt collector of 'out-of-statute-of-limitations' debts. Just another scammer that buys up ancient debts, many of which have been settled, and tries to "collect" them. Do not give them any information, do not say anything that can be construed as a admission of debt validity. Deny the debt, and tell them you have no knowledge of it, that you're not refusing anything because it's not valid, not your debt, the wrong person, etc. Just deny everything. Then, get an address if you can so you can mail them a cease and desist letter by certified mail. Keep a record of their calls, as you can then claim against them for $1500 per call under the FDCPA and/or TCPA. Debt collectors who call you on your cell phone without your express written consent are violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). If you are being harassed by debt collectors, you may be entitled to $1,500 per unauthorized call.

HI I just received a call from our HR department at my job. They contacted HR asking if I worked here and they were told he could not confirm whether or not an employee worked her but he could take the information and IF the employee worked here he would relay it. He gave me the information and so I looked up the number and came across your comment and a bunch more! Clearly it is a scam. My HR person said he told them they are to never call again but he said that doesn't mean they can't or won't show up here and cause embarrassment. I feel that if I call then it confirms that I do work here and then they will show up at my job! I can't have that. Realistically though, do you think they would actually come here? Or is it all a threat so I will call them? What do you think I should do?
