creepy call about my daughter's sat tests. when i say "yes?" they hang up. so they have child's name, home phone number, probably address? who knows and now they have a recording of me saying "yes"
This happened to me too, this week. I tried to find them on Spokeo but they are not there. All I could find out was that it is a land line from the area code that serves Santa Monica and Compton, California.
Yes, I got the same call on May 8. My phone showed Los Angeles, California. I too called back, got Google voice verification, called again and got an answering machine. I asked them to call me back, but no one ever did.
I just received a call from 424-256-8508. It was a man. He said I want to talk to you about (child's name), PSAT and SAT scores. I said what about them? He said, "nothing.". "good evening." and hung up. He didn't give a name or a company he's with. My child is a 9th grader and took the PSAT test.
Weird isn't it?
