my fiance's brother got a a call from them for my fiance, said my fiance refused to sign papers that were served. ( NOT true) I called the number back along with the "case number" and the lady refused to really answer any questions, just said he has a summons to court, but wouldnt tell me what it was for. Strange, since anything going to court would become public record. I have tried to find more info online about what this place does, but I cant find anything.
I got a call to my place of employment saying they have been trying to serve me court papers but that I haven't been home. They left a phone number and a case#. Its a CA area code and I live in FL and when I call the number back there was no company name, it just said case mitigation and to leave a message. I don't have a mortgage or own any money for housing. I think its a scam

I live in FL, got a call at my employment that i was being summoned. Call back and she would give me info on who was sueing me and no phone number. Lots of threats, etc. Called a debt lawyer, she said it was most likely bs. We will see.
Sure it's a load of garbage, you're not warned ahead of time about being summoned. You can, however, keep them from "showing up" by cutting a deal, which is how this works. Only problem is you won't see anyone. No information provided because the caller's relying on the threats to scare you enough they won't have to answer any questions.
