Let your boss know about this SCAM. You are not warned if a summons is coming and they must (by law) stop calling you at work if you request that. Repeated calls are a violation of the FDCAP (and tells you loads about the caller).
Received a call from this number. Left a voice message saying that this is for delivery of legal documents and there was a refusal of delivery of legal documents I have 2 hours to call back to avoid further legal issues. The lady who left the message was very threatening and said that I need to call them NOW. I am certain that this is a scam. If any legal documents were trying to be delivered to my home they would never have been refused. Seriously, I am from Ohio, why would someone from a California area code be attempting to collect a debt on the other side of the country? The call came from an unknown #, but gave me a California # to call back, and even had a reference #. This is definitely a scam.
I just got the same call too and the message is exact the same from OHIO. It is scary and very threatening! I never even try to call them back; now it is confirmed that it is a scam.
they called my place of employment tell my boss that I have a legal issue and they need to deliver a summons to me. it is very embarrassing.
