This number has been calling me, too. The robo-voice says, "Hello, this is Kaiser Permanente calling for [my initials]. We've been trying to reach you to tell you about some resources that can help you live well. Please call us back toll free at 1-844-462-1446 again the number is 1-844-462-1446. Thank you, and have a good day. Goodbye."
I, too, am very suspicious of this call. When I perform a web search for "844-462-1446", no hits from a Kaiser Permanente web page come up on the first page of results and if I search for "844-462-1446 kaiser", I get nothing. I'm pretty sure this is a scam.
Thanks to Carol for calling the number. Her experience makes me think even more that this is some sort of scam.
it is a robocall from Kaiser Permanente wanting me to call back about some "important" information regarding my health. i would hope that if i was dying or had terminal cancer that something other than a machine would call to tell me about it.
"Kaiser" called me again today and left a voice message for ET. I realize now that ET is the initials of my ex-husband and we've been separated for 7 years. He has not been covered by Kaiser for years. Very suspicious that they used his initials instead of his name and he's not even covered. The voice message said to call (844)462-1446. I called from a different phone and an automated voice asked me to dial my number that the message was left on, which I didn't do. Kaiser has never asked me to dial my number to identify me, they use the medical record. My ex is in debt and I think these calls are from a collection agency. I've been getting a lot of weird calls from different numbers in different states. I might change my number.
