I got this call from that number saying that I won something spectacular! And that I would have to press 1 to get it, but of course, I waited...waited to hear a real person so I could slam the phone on him/her! LMAO
I looked it up, the number is coming from Torrence, California or Catalina Island area. But you never know, this might be an operation from anywhere with a link to this area. Also, it is a man with good speaking English, no accent...Hmm...
Do you guys think this is a 'fowarding' scam? Hmm...
Just very curious, would it be difficult to scam the scammer? I would love to get back at 'em! Hahaha! I will delve deeper into this...Keep you posted!
I called this numeber back, and I actually got a person who answered.
"Would you like to hear more about your Cancun resort vacation?"
"No?"
and something that was in the form of a question
either "Why" or "Bye"
and I instinctively said, "What?"
and it hung up on me.
(December 4, 2008) Hey I just got a call from that number. When I answered it some guy with an Eastern European accent (recorded) congratulated me and asked me to press 1. I hung up and so should you. But if you are searching this, then it's probably too late.
