A lot of medical companies have been calling me since being on Medicare , I asked how they got my name and info they said from a medical directory that is put out every month ! I was furious that my medical info is being pasted and Posted for people to see !!! There should be a law about this !! That's invasion of privacy !!!

First call was at 8:30 am today which, assuming the caller ID was correct on reading California, made it 5:30 am for them. I canceled call. They called back at noon. Answered and there was dead air.
They called about my 2017 medical insurance. So I asked what insurance do they show I have and they said they could not tell me due to HIPPA laws - Then who the heck gave them this info? Aren't the info providers violating HIPPA laws?
Started calling here this morning. The usual routine, 5 rings and out before the voicemail picks up. I don't answer. Now here is a new wrinkle to be aware of.....there is NO subscriber usable 555 exchange in ANY area code. In addition to being local Directory Assistance it's only other use is as a telephone company service and troubleshooting tool. Any call you get from a 555 exchange is guaranteed to be from a spoofed number. Notice the next time an actor speaks or reads/writes a phone number in a recent movie or TV drama. It will be a 555 exchange.
