I got a call from a telemarketer doing "energy upgrades" from a boiler room. Not selling anything, just giving estimates (ya, right). I answered because it was a local number using a "real name" (Leo Pascula). It seems more and more I'm getting these kinds of calls from numbers in my neighborhood as opposed to cities further away. My guess is that they have figured out people answer unknown local numbers more often than distant ones. Out of curiosity I called the number and got an answering machine. I didn't leave a message but a little while later I got a call from the real owner of the # who saw a missed call on his cell. He hadn't called me and was surprised that someone could call me using his number. It would appear that the phone spammers are getting even more evil!!!!
