I called the number back and an automated, but pleasant sounding male voice welcomed me to something [unintelligible to me] and Hale. "please hold while we retrieve your record". I hung up and there was no further call. When I got home that night, I googled the number and discovered that other people were also getting calls from this number. I realized afterward that I was not bright to call the number back. [It had piqued my curiosity and I gave in to the impulse before I considered that the call came from scammers.]
424-672-2032 rang my phone for approx. 3 seconds. i know no one in California. i am with Verizon and i live in Tennessee. i will not answer an unknown number, nor call it back. if it is a service or a spammer, it should be illegal. being eaten alive by rats is not just enough for people that do that type of thing.
call came at about 11:40 EST
