Steve martin called threatening possible action by a U.S. magistrate if I don't call to cooperate and allow them to help me help myself. Scam! If you get this its a scam, just ignore it,
I was knee deep in housework when the phone rang.
This is the number as it appeared on the caller id: 424.704.4830.
A recording of a gentleman's voice came on warning me that if I ignore this call I will be in trouble with the Federal Government and that this would be considered a second notice. I hung up and blocked future calls from that number.
Just got a call from 'Steve Martin' this morning. I almost picked up to ask him how the comedy and bluegrass band was going, and to tell him he's a 'wild and crazy guy!' But I think he was from a part of the world where he just wouldn't get it. So, I'll just ignore him and report him to the Federal do not call list instead.
This is the whole message that was left on our number:
"Will be an intentional second attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge for a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. My number is 424-704-4830. I repeat it's 424-704-4830. I'd like you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thank you. Hi my name is Steve Martin and I'm calling regarding an enforcement action.
