Received a phone call at Dec. 5 at 10:39AM. Caller ID said Malibu, CA. Person on phone didn't identify himself or his company. Annoying telemarketer offering "painter references" because he said that he was referred to me by people that said my house paint was peeling.
Told him to remove my phone number from his list because this is my place of business and these calls interrupt my business costing me money. He merely laughed at me so I hung up on him and didn't let him finish his crap.I am also on the DO NOT CALL registry which seems to make no difference at all.
This is the first incidence from the same phone number which a person actually spoke. I am using the the FCC online reporting to http://www.fcc.gov/complaints to lodge a complaint against them.
National Do not Call Registry does not work, the fines are inconsequential and they cant go after every complaint. To stop these calls get a phone with DECT that you can block unwanted callers.
