Caller randomly sends texts saying "Hi" until gets a response

this number texted me it read Go Bears, then hi.
i replyed thinking it was one of my friends from berkeley. then the number sent, my name is Jay.

Sent a text last night with "Hi".

Hey i got the same guy jay sends me text and everyday

I received a message that first said "hi" and then, after I made the mistake of asking who this person was, I received two more texts that said "hi my name is Jason." I'm glad I checked here. does this person ever stop?
