Got the same call. Offer of $9000 grant from federal government. I said no way the feds are giving away $9000. He reassured me it was REAL! I replied "since you are so adamant about giving away $9000, donate it to the American Red Cross in my name. My name is Uncle Sam by the way." Promptly hung up on me! How rude! lol
I received this call about an hour ago, the male speaker, in a very thick accent, perhaps Indian or mid-East, told me he was calling from Washington D.C. I explained that I was right in the middle of a sewing lesson, and could he call back in 15 minutes or so. He responded with something I could not understand, then he said: You are so cute. I like you. I like you a lot.
That's when I hung up and when I had a minute I checked the number. Found this site.
Got a phone call from this number saying I had money owed me from the federal government, I plainly asked them if they thought I was stupid, when I threatened to report him to the federal authorities he laughed and I hung up on them.
She told me she would give me a grant for 9,000 dollars and I knew it was a scam, I said I'm a member of the u.s Army and I don't receive grants. She then hung up.
