There's no such thing as a "new" number. Someone else had your number before you got it, possibly as recenly as a month ago. Your pest is probably looking for the person who had your number before you got it.
Likely a phone bot that calls random numbers at random times and records time of day a person answers for each number. That info is sold and/or used by company employing the phone bot system. Why? So that telemarketers have a better chance of reaching you since they know when your home.
They've called me five times in the last two days at various times. I never answer and they never leave a voicemail. As a rule, I never answer when the Caller ID shows "Unknown Name" and/or "Unknown Number", or if it's a toll-free number. Answering the phone is a privilege you extend to a caller, not an obligation.........
