Knew this had to be a scam.....I was away got message on machine and all they said was final notice IRS is filing a law suit against you.....no name of who they were trying to reach or anything!!!
I received a phone call from this number today, saying I owe money to the IRS and that if I don't pay by tomorrow I will be arrested and serve 4-5 years in prison. HA! He had, what seemed to be, an indian accent and it was very hard to understand him. This man said his name was David James, and when I asked where I pay because I don't trust giving my info over the phone he couldn't give me any info, I asked for a website or office where I could pay and he said nothing he said to call him tomorrow. (I know I don't owe money so I went along with it) I asked "what number do I call?" about 5-6 times and he kept saying "just call me back to this number" he wasn't able to verbally give me his phone number and hung up on me. I called back right away and another man answered with less of an accent and I asked for this so-called "David James" and he said it was him. BS! he sounded totally different, he then said, "ok let me transfer you" and when "David" answered he was being snotty when I said I was going to report him for this fraudulent activity, he laughed and said "Ok, adios amigo"

This is the same person from the message above.
After calling the number that www.irs.gov gave me (1.800.366.4484), I was given a website where you can report this scam online instead of mail or fax.
