Careful if they call.  This Pacific Market Research is only supposed to be calling small businesses.   Not individuals.  I'd be careful not to answer any questions that seem personal.  They are contractors for IRS and participation is voluntary.   It is possible that scammers might try to spoof the number.

No tax disputes are involved.  IRS initiates contacts on tax disputes by US mail only.

Amy. the IRS does NOT call people. They send letters.
Some debt collectors LIE and represent themselves as the IRS or anything else they think
they can impersonate, or threaten you with, to scare you.
