i doubt they got your number from a collision repair facility, as i work at one and we NEVER give out customer information. P.s. they just called me and hung up, i call back but the mailbox is full
I received one of these calls this morning, as well. Caller wouldn't identify himself, nor the company he worked for. Just so happened that a client of mine had asked me over the weekend if I'd given out their info to a chiropractor. I know that I, nor my company, give out client information for any purposes, unless the client has given specific permission to do so. And, we would never ask to give info out for these purposes.
Did some research and have come to the conlusion that these folks troll police reports for your personal information and then "smile & dial" to generate leads for chiropractors. Chiro's can pay significant money for the lead and the calling company sells the lead to 5-12 Chiro's in your area and you get inundated with calls from Chiro's on an injury that the calling company "suggests" to you.
Consider filing a complaint with your state's Attorney General's office.
Yep he said he was from the accident referral network. I live in the 360 area code, which is pretty large, and its a 425 (kirkland) number calling. he represented himself as a "local provider" who wanted to give me complimentary care after my accident a "few weeks back". The accident i was in was almost two months ago. When I asked him where he got my information from, he said "fine bye" and hung up. When I called the number on the caller id back it said the call could not be completed as dialed. NOT HAPPY. I have enough real and legitamate calls to deal with from my accident.
