Called claiming to be trying to collect a $10 debt from St. Luke's. Told her I had paid all my medical bills to date, and would need verify amount with the hospital directly. She got quite huffy and rude when she heard that. Doesn't sound like a legitimate debt, but we shall see what the hospital says..
They called me saying I had not paid a bill from March 2013! I told her I paid the bill and have not received any billings from them since....it's been 21 months!! She said they only sent out one bill and that was in 2013. I call b.s. and told her to mail me a statement. I might have to go through my bank statements but I will prove I paid this. Sounds pretty hoakie to me especially considering this is a hospital and my butt would have been turned over to a collection agency by now IF I had not paid it.
