Several calls over the weekend from a rude and nasty man, despite me telling him I was on DNC list. I made all necessary requests, and after 5 calls each 2 minutes apart, I told him I was filing a complaint with the FCC. He kept questioning whether I could do that??!! After filing the complaint, I blocked the number. Yet this morning discovered they have a work-around...call came from 000-0000000, caller ID V11210929020010 from a woman stating from same co....Diabetes Services.. and claimed I had filled out a form online. BS. No issues around this disease in my home, and called her on it, again told her same DNC info. She continued to speak and I hung up. As expected, 2 minutes later, she called again. I told her he co. was despicable and I will now find it necessary to file harassment charges. I would love to file in small claims, but cannot find an address. If anyone has one, please let me know.
Also, you must also be as agressive and threaten charges. At this time, it has been 2 hrs and no more calls. we will see.
I got calls from this number too. Just call back and when you get through, the recording will give you an opt out option. I haven't gotten another one since.. No since being rude, they'll just keep bugging you..
I've gotten calls from this number at least 4 times today and several times over the last few days. It comes up as FAMILY on my phone too, but no one is ever there when I answer it.
After dozens of calls from this number, I finally decided to call back like you suggested and pressed "1" to opt out of anymore calls. Sure enough, got another call from them just minutes later and still hasn't stopped. What makes you think scammers will honor your request to no longer be called when their activities are illegal to begin with. These are not people that care and I do not suggest ever calling back scammers as they then know that your number is indeed valid when you do call back.
Your best method of defense starts before you get these calls. The only explanation for these calls is entering my phone number on an offline or online survey. The question as why these callers think someone in my household has diabetes is because I remember marking that box on a survey just recently. Over the years I have entered off and online surveys. Shortly after the surveys I start getting these annoying phone calls up to 6 times per day. After seeing the same phone number on my caller ID for 2 months in a row, I couldn't stand it any longer so I answered, waited long enough to hear a human voice, then proceeded to demand that my name be taken off the call list. Person on the other end asked if I wanted to know what the call is about, I said sure; the voice that was female told me I had filled out a questionnaire at a mall to win a car - 6 months prior. Those calls have since ceased.
Getting back to the 425-390-8142 calls regarding diabetes in the house. I started getting these calls soon after enrolling as a research project for an experimental toenail medication at a rate of 4 per day; 2 in the am and 2 in the pm. I recall checking the box that asked if I had family members with diabetes. Could be coincidence, I'm not sure. But I'm sure of one thing; I won't be filling out any more offline/online surveys.
