Some IndiPaki dude called when I wasn't home. No message left, but somehow the line must have rung him back when he hung up, because on my answering machine message I heard a ringing and then some jerk saying Hello? Hello? and a bunch of IndiPakis from the call center talking in the background. Blocked.
From American Alert Systems, elderly fraud. Promising $400 of free equipment and $3000 free groceries.
I played along, pretending to be a dumb little old lady. (Actually, I'm a smart little old lady!) They insinuate that they have been referred by "your doctor or another friend". When I specifically asked (in my little old lady voice) if my doctor referred me, I was told "yes". FRAUD
The caller id says: SVC, again FRAUD.
This is the 9th call I've had from this company which has recently changed their name from Senior Alert Systems to American Alert Systems. Twice I've had the very same girl talking to me. When I confronted her about already telling her not to call and having turned them in to the Do Not Call list, she sniped, "And what have they done for you?" and hung up.
Called back this number from a blocked line and got the now standard line, " if you don't want to receive these calls please press 1 to be removed from our caller list"
If you do they won't call anymore but they sell your number to everyone since they have a confirmation that this is a live number....
