Same here they called me and left several messages. I finally did some searching and found this site. I called them back and left them some seriously harsh messages. I blocked my cellphone line and wont answer home. I hope they dont have my work number. But, I have a temper that would make a salior blush. Im sure my messages arent something they are used to in their country with the meek women.
Caller told me that I received money form a pay day loan couple months back (which I did not) and I did not pay them back. Caller said they were calling from the state department and they was a pending case/investigation open in my name and SSN about the payday loan. Caller said they were calling from the state of Columbia, as is the District of Columbia, I informed them that the area code for DC was 202 not 425. I looked on casnet and there is no open cases in my name. This is a complete SCAM, they are trying to get bank account information so they can steal money. Repoted this number to the FCC.

I received to on caller ID a 301 but the person gave a 425 area code. there is a busy signal when calling the 301 area code back and the 425 a david scott answered and said I owe. I was told by a lawyer who searches scam numbers that they purchase accounts and scam funds. That happen to me once so I am not falling for that mess any more. Just don't have funds to scam away. Also was told if they sound like foreigners it most likely be scammers.
