We have been receiving several calls over the past 2 weeks or so (sometimes 2 per day) from this number - identified as being associated with Harley Exteriors. We've been letting the calls go to our answering machine, and the caller has never left a message. We did make arrangements to meet with a sales rep from Harley Exteriors just about a year ago during a contractor evaluation/bid solicitation process, involving several different firms, for a total home re-roofing project. Although they represented a roofing product that we had initial interest in, their bid was exorbitantly, even hilariously, inflated (no surprise), and we dismissed Harley from further consideration during the same evening that we had our appointment with the rep (whose tactics echoed what I had read about from other prospective customers). Up until earlier this month (3/2015), we had (thankfully) heard nothing further from them, in nearly a full year's time.
Growing tired of these apparent robo-calls from (Harley Exteriors), I finally answered the phone at 5:05 PM on 3/26/15. The caller sounded like a youngish lackey, and was asking to speak with the homeowner associated with this number. Since we had been in contact directly with H.E. last year, I initially thought that this may have been a belated follow-up call to see if we had resolved our roofing issue, but with this rather generic inquiry (not asking to speak specifically with either of us who were directly involved in that process), I reckoned that this was something for else. I explained that I was the son of the homeowner associated with the number that was called (and was personally arranging and conducting the bid evaluations on behalf of an elderly parent). Without explaining that I had previously had a dealing of sorts with H.E., I asked the caller to verify who they were calling on behalf of, and what the call concerned. The caller then said something to the effect of "Oh, that's okay, I'll just call again at another time" and proceeded to hang up during my pleas to NOT do that. I can only imagine that we will continue to receive unsolicited calls from Harley Exteriors until their robo-dialer breaks.
If these calls have truly been originating from Harley Exteriors, It further illustrates the type of firm they are....and one that I would never choose to deal with for ANY service.
