The call arrived when I was away from the phone; so the call automatically went to the FAX machine after 6 rings. Caller I.D. said "MTNLK Terace WA", which is an incorrect abbreviation for Mountlake Terrace, WA. (The proper post-office abbreviation is Mtlk Ter or Mtlk Terrace.) Googling the number found a listing for the number on SuperPages showing that it isn't even in Mountlake Terrace.
The listing is for Morris Towing in Shoreline, WA, which is the next town over. Since our vehicles both were parked in front of the house, I knew that it either was a wrong number or a "spoofed" number, i.e. a number which fraudulently had been re-routed, bounced, or borrowed so-to-speak, from another location entirely. Since the location was both wrong and mis-spelled, I suspect the call was fraudulent.
Called, said nothing and hung up. I don't answer unidentified calls but since it said Morris Towing, I thought a friend might need help. It was followed by several other unidentified calls i didn't answer
