This is a scam run by the cities around Everett including Lynwood to overcharge families receiving calls from inmates of the Lynnwood city jail. This jail behaves like a "for profit" jail. Example: a Driving While Suspended charge received a 7500 bail. A bit excessive don't you think? Inmate had no outbound phone privileges beyond limited calls to Attorney. Inmate Had to use the # referenced here which costs those accepting calls $1.00/minute. This is an abusive tactic gleaning huge profits from those least able to pay. Those incarcerated typically are the poorest among us. Cities like evertt typically have no one assigned to serious white collar crime. Bottom line, it costs you $60.00/hour to talk to your incarcerated family member, wheter or not they are justly charged. Second consideration. Magic jack X gives good quality LD service for what? 60/year total. Thus jails could offer phone service for 5 to 10cents per minute instead of the 60.00/hour ripoff scam. Or simply let inmates by afffordable calling cards or use their own cell phones under supervision if necessary. Further, try and contact your family member in the Lynnwood city jail. Anybody hear any reports of inmate treatment there?
