I got the same thing as Tom. He's a scammer - I called him on it and he got all upset. He gave me a bunch of fake info that was not verifiable. Anastasia, sounds exactly the same as what I dealt with. He's a real jerk! I'm sorry to hear he had all your info - I pressed him to tell me my social sec. number - but he said he didn't have it. I didn't think to ask about my checking account.
I've reported him to a few places as I mentioned, I suggest you do the same.

I have recieved a voicemail twice now from a "Kevin Smith" saying that I owed money to US Cash Advance. He would not provide me with any statement of debt or anything. "wished luck upon me, for whatever they are going to do to me"
I called the FTC and reported it, she said what they did was illegal.
I got the same call yesterday. I told the guy he was full of crap cause I know for a fact I did not have a payday loan out. He started cursing and mocking me like a 4 year old child. I then began calling him back and telling him what a low-life he was. He started answering the phone by saying hello in a childish manner. I said I thought you were a lawfirm! Now the number no longer works. I thought this was very funny. I also reported him to the FTC.
