Anyone know who this number belongs to? I called it back and someone answered, " Hello, this is x, how can I help you" but did not divulge the company. He wanted me to give him my number and various other personal info, which I refused, but would not tell me what the company was or the nature of the call. I blocked my number when I called him. Curious..

Guy said his name was Danny and wanted my info for student loan debt forgiveness. He said he was from Credit Collections(?) Sounded legit at first but then demanded a credit card number. kind of made me feel it wasn't legit. I told him I wanted info in the mail b4 I gave money and he told me I only had 24 hours before the offer expired. Anyone know what the deal hear is?
As a college student you should be able to recognize a scam when you hear it, especially about student loans. There is no "forgiveness program" , Obama did not forgive everyone's student loans, and even if it were true it would not expire in 24 hours. There are many places you can do research on this matter, but the best one would the Department of Education government web site. You should feel fortunate that you did not give them any personal or banking information since these people are nothing more than criminals trying to steal money from you.
