This call was from a collection agency - the girls name was "Kelly" and she wasn't very bright. She was trying to collect on a debt with no proof that we owed. She had limited information but was still trying to pretend like she had more to stand on than she did. I told her to send proof and never heard back.

This number has been harassing me with calls for weeks. Sorry to say I returned their call today and got suckered in to giving them my debit card number for two separate withdrawals to clear an old medical debt. Googled the phone number since I couldn't shake the 'uh-oh' feeling and they are a scam. Called back and left word that I had reported them as a scam both on-line and to my bank, and they were not to take any funds from my account until I received written verification of the debt. have transferred all my cash out to other accounts, and will be in touch with my C.U. first thing tomorrow.
Per the FDCPA, you should never pay any caller who refuses to MAIL a debt validation letter to you. Refusal to mail this documentation to you is a violation of the FDCPA. There are too many scammers and junk debt buyers out there who swear up and down you owe them money, when in fact, you either paid the debt in full, or the debt is completely bogus. Report your caller to the FTC, FCC and your state's Attorney General.
I returned a call to these people and told them I wanted something in writing. They refused because they already sent it to me, but not to my mailing address.
