A recorded call from this number invited me to be a part of a study on Bipolar Disorder.  My thoughts were: how did they get my number?  Did they get my medical records from somewhere? (no, I do not have a history of mental health disorders but I have friends who do)  How frightening would this be to someone who really has had mental health challenges?
I called them.  I asked if they called the wrong number. They said it was a random list of numbers in our county. No medical records had been compromised. I told them to check state laws because Washington state does not allow commercial robo-calls.  Since they weren't selling anything, don't know if this really applies.
Maybe we could nominate them for an extreme insensitivity award.
