Called stating they were from the Florida Police Benevolent Association and wanted to confirm my address for my pledge. He said he was setting it up for the same as last year but I could increase it if I wanted. I've never committed or contributed to anything over the phone. This was on Wed. 8/10/11. I got a call from another telemarketer the next night with the same spiel but a different group they were supposed to be fundraising for.

These telemarketers call us at least once a day asking for John Crawford. One just called me and when I said "he doesn't live here, please put us on your do not call list" (as we say every day) the telemarketer got very angry and said he was just looking for his buddy, John Crawford, and said "don't treat me like a telemarketer." I said "ok, well he doesn't live here." And he said "thanks a lot, moron." Lovely, right? This is truly a bizarre operation.
I also received a call asking for donation to help injured officers, the strange thing is he said my last donation help them, but I never sent anything to anybody. Be aware of this scams.
