I’d love if you could do a follow-up on what to do when your spouse doesn’t have that chat with mom. The two biggest issues I’ve faced with my single MIL are her walking in to the room we were sleeping in, half-naked (I was NOT asleep!) and her wanting to put us up in a hotel for a week so that she could decorate our house. I did not talk to her about the nudity incident, and she’s only told DH that she wants to decorate our house (several times, actually). I do not want either of these things, and I do not believe I am being unreasonable.
MIL is visiting soon, and DH has not spoken to her regarding either of these issues, even though I’ve asked as nicely as I can. (She cries easily and he doesn’t want to hurt her feelings. Yes, I see the manipulation. I just don’t know what to do about it because he thinks she’s just nice and sensitive.) I don’t want to hurt her feelings, but I also don’t want these things.
Called number back, it was a recording stating that I had visited one of their stores and they were offering a rebate. I quickly hung up after hearing that.
Called cell phone yet again. I do not answer calls from people I don't know, however the caller is a pain in my a**. They never left a message so I know it was not someone that I knew. Just wish telemarketers would receive financial punishment for invading the privacy of people they solicit. No one should be harrassed in the privacy of their home.
