Getting many calls from this #, plus 434-214-2692 & 434-214-2693, all have bad connections. V.Msg. from 434-214-2692 around 1/9/15, 'Lisa Beckham calling from Readers Digest office regarding your certified cashiers check of $3.5 mil. Call us back on the office number on your phone." Another VM, 1/19/15, from Mr. Claude Peterson(?), 434-214-2691, said he's from "Readers Digest we set an appoitment for you to talk to Bank of America to confirm." Spoke to lady 1/20/15, now called herself Tiffany Wilson (sounded just like Lisa Beckham earlier), saying I had won $3 mil check + $500K cash, plus 2014 Audi A3 that I need to take care of shipping. Moments later, call from guy sounded like man Claude Peterson from 1/19. Said I had won $ and I have to pay for shipping car. I will be contacted by Bank of America CEO to verify. Minutes later, call from guy said he is Brian Moyniham, (had a time pronouncing Moyniham) sounded more like "Monham". I questioned him on this and he could not tell me why he can't pronounce his name. Then asked where he works in Charlotte NC, since I also work in Charlotte. He had hard time pronouncing 'Tryon' street where BOA HQ is. Asked what office, he said ground floor (of 871' skyscraper- RIGHT!!) Asked what college graduated, sounded like he asked someone next to him, he said 'Harvard- he studed the Law'. Brian Moyniham went to Brown with a law degree from Notre Dame. Asked him for his direct number and ext, all he said was ext 550. I asked 'Mr Moynihan' why he was calling from 434 area code, not from 704 which is Charlotte? All he could say is it is a toll free #, check my phone bill. I said I wasn't asking if it was toll or not, but why that area code, again I said I work in Charlotte and I know the area codes. He said BOA is a large international bank and he is off-shore? What a crock! Also asked him about his TV appearance that morning on CNBC, he could not elaborate on it. After he hung up, I called BOA support #, spoke to Eric about call from 'Brian Moynihan', he laughed and said the CEO is not going to call on matters like this. He tried to call the numbers above. No one picked up. Maybe they saw the caller ID of BOA on their phone. Called Readers Digest customer service and also told about this scam too.
