political calls are allowed to call even if you are on the DNC list. it is research and that is allowed too. telemarketing is NOT allowed and robo call are NOT allowed for ANYTHING. just go back to the DNC list and you will see this. also any business that you have initiated contact with within the last 18 months can call. if you asked for an estimate for something they can call. you should tell them you don't want any follow up calls and that may work went you ask for initiate anything. it may help. if a researcher calls just say no thanks and that should stop it. being busy, walking out the door, cooking, having company doesn't stop a researcher or anyone else. they are trained to call back without a firm refusal. you don't have to yell. i find that will help, but usually will answer research calls.
