I just posted and item on Craigslist this morning as all three of you who reported with same things. Seems bogus to me as well. Money order and Casheiers Check plus $50 if I take it off as a posting
Received a text from this number saying he wanted to buy an item I listed on Craigslist within minutes of my posting. Asked me to take the listing off of Craigslist and consider it sold. I asked him numerous times where he lived and he said he recently moved to FL but was out of town. Also said he was a structural engineer doing some underground work. Red flags everywhere. Said he would send a cashiers check or money order and asked for my name and address in which to send check. Red Flag again. Asked him again what his name was. Said his name was Larry Cole.
I too received a text from this number saying they wanted to buy the item I listed on Craigslist within a matter of minutes of posting. This person said they would pay an extra $50 if I would take it off of Craigslist and hold the item but could only do cashiers check or money order because he is working out of town. I asked him if he knew he was corresponding with a police officer and this is illegal. Got no reply. Only said his name was Larry.
