Crap scam caller going by the name CRM or CRS fraud department. Called my spouse the other day about me saying something about 2009 check fraud (it's 2016 - 7 years later). There's nothing on my credit report from 2009. I had suspicion about this especially since I've had the same number for nearly 10 years, why wasn't I called? After investigating online - this particular number is a cell phone - I found little and realized it was a new number system for a new group of scammers. Eventually, I decided to call the number to see what it was about and, lo and behold!, the number had been disconnected with my cellular carrier's automatic voice system repeating that it was a "non working number." Beware, though, I tried calling the next day and the phone number had been reactivated and the same scammers picked up saying CRM/CRS mediation firm. What are they, a fraud department or mediation firm? Numerous red flags here, guys. Don't let them scare or scam you.
