Just wanted to add I usually don't answer numbers I don't recognize but I was driving and plus I rarely get calls on my cell from telemarketers - but that's probably because most are already on my block list. So I was expecting a legit call. Anyways, don't waste your time. If you see 434-533-2065 don't answer it or better yet just block it.
They called my cell phone asking about VA Loan refinancing or cashing out my existing mortgage. When I asked how he got my number he kept going into his sales pitch thanking me for my service and then asked me questions about my mortgage. I finally had to cut him off and again asked what company he is with and how he got my number. He said they are from a Veterans group blah blah (didn’t catch the full name) and that they get their numbers from a variety of methods. I explained I'm on the DO NOT CALL list because I obviously don’t want to be bothered on the phone but that didn't stop him. I played along and answered some quick yes/no questions. Next I told him I was busy but again that didn't stop him. After that he still wanted to pressure me into talking with a sales rep. I said ok and when he placed me on hold I hung up. Their phone # is listed as somewhere in Southern Virginia but doesn't reference any company dealing with mortgages - wouldn't be surprised if they are scammers. I added this number to my block list. Good riddance dirtbags.
