SCAM.
Received a call from this number today from a woman. Caller ID could not tell who she was, just said "Out Of Area"
I could barely understand her heavy accent (sounded like Raj from Big Bang Theory). She said they had been receiving notifications about many problems on my computer. I told her my computer is working fine. She insisted they have been receiving notifications, for months now, from my computer, that my Windows is having serious problems. I told her that I do not have Windows in my house. Now she wanted to know if I have a computer and what kind. I repeated slowly "You said you are getting notifications that my Windows computer is having serious problems. I. DO. NOT. HAVE. WINDOWS. COMPUTERS. IN. MY. HOUSE." I refused to give out any more information of any kind, and i ended the call. I don't know how they could be receiving notifications about Windows having problems when this house is ALL Apple with no Windows installed. Has to be some kind of SCAM.
I got a phone call from this number, but answered it and music was playing, i waited awhile, but nothing. Do you know what this number is from? my e-mail is [email protected]
Called this morning. First I heard music in the background. Then after I said Hello twice, the man (with some kind of accent) said, "How are you today?" I asked who was calling and he replied, "It's your boyfriend baby." I said, "Excuse me??" He said, "It's your boyfriend. You've forgotten about me. I miss you." I told him I was calling the police and hung up.
He just called back, 12 hours later, and my husband answered. He heard the music at first too, then the guy came on the line saying he was calling on behalf of Dish Network. My husband hung up on him.
I received a call from this number 10/23/07 at 1pm. At first I heard music and then a man with a thick accent came on the line saying something about Dish Network. I couldn't understand what he was saying so I interrupted him telling him that I wasn't interested and to take me off of the calling list. Then he went on to tell me that he had a free cell phone for me. So I said, "I thought you just said that you were from Dish Network?" He got an attitude and said something like they were offering a promotion, so I interrupted him again telling him to take me off of his calling list and he said "Goodbye, I love you baby".
I just got a call from them as well, selling dick network, I let the guy ramble on for 25 mins and strung him along since I was bored, then when he was getting my info I said no thanks Im not interested and hung up, then about 20 mins later the number calls back and asks me if I was making fun of them, I said no, I dont know what your talking about, then he told me to go to hell and I said the same and then they hung up on me.... how can we find out who they are or where they are so I can help them out come christmas time !!
