I filled out a contest entry at the Grafton firemen's festival during Memorial Day weekend. I received a call saying they drew 5 names and mine was the 3rd drawn. To make a long story short the gentleman came to my home to bring the voucher for my "FREE" vacation. Came to my door with nothing in his hands. After multiple questions it was apparent that he wanted to sell me a air cleaner with a vacuum. I let him know I was not interested that I already had a air cleaner and a good Kirby vacuum cleaner. He questioned me on the brand and the cost and how old and told me how bad my items were and his item was much better. Again I said not interested so he said he had to go to his car to get the vacation voucher and never came back. I feel he was at my house caseing it out for a possible future robbery. I have let the Grafton fire department know about this scam.

I shouldn't have to tell you the dangers of letting a stranger visit your house when you are alone. I would strongly suggest you also call the police to have the situation investigated.
