got a call from this number today saying he was a investigator and would file suit against me if I didn't call back or my attorney. I have been getting this type of call for 2 years now. It is a scam they said i had a payday loan I never paid, I don't have a payday loan.
I returned the message to Coery Aikens about "the felony charges that were pressed against me." Fortunately, the sheriff is one of my good friends. So, when I told this scammer that I was in contact with the sheriff's office and that they had no record of any warrants out for my arrest he got extremely upset that I would contact the sheriff. I then went on to tell him that the sheriff would like written verification of the supposed debt he called me "a piece of [***]" and hung up on me.
These people are scammers and I recommend anyone that is left this message to
1)Let them know that you have contacted your sheriff's department.
2)Ask for written verification of the debt.
3)Ask for the name, address and phone number of the company that he works for.
4)Tell him that before you take further action you need to be in touch with the sheriff again and that you also need to consult your attorney, the attorney general, and the department of consumer affairs.
5)If at this time he is still on the phone with you DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. THIS IS A SCAM!!!
Got the same call two days in a row, now I know it's a scam, and will handle accordingly. I don't even live in the sate this Coery Aikens is calling from. If they keep calling I will contact my local police. Caller ID says Work Flow Com LLC
