area code 440 is in Cleveland, Ohio and the surrounding areas..

I got a call from a collector at this on also.  They are so tricky.  They use numbers like this to trick you into answering because they know everyone screens out the 800 and blocked numbers.  I have a 440 number so they use this as the ID.  Then they call me at my business line and I pick up because I think it is a client.

it is an automated dialer from a collection agency.  No humans involved.

They call me on my cell phone....I pay for that....how do I get them to stop calling on my cell phone?

I spoke with someone at this number, I was at work with a client when they called. They immediately asked me what the last four digits of my social security number, when I made a statement like "Who is this?" they immediately hung up.
