I got a text from someone who addressed me by my first name (Emily) and said "Hi, this is Jen!" they requested that I add them on yahoo messenger. (They gave their screen name as "movbaspen"---which appears to actually be a username.)

I do not know anyone from this area and I have received no response...

How did this person get my number and my first name?!
I see that several other people have been contacted by a "Jen" asking them to chat on yahoo.

What on earth is the endgame here?!
