Just received a call from this number. Same as other "bogus" formats... Caller ID says, "OHIO." I answered, "HELLO", After a delay (machine call), someone with a foreign accent says, "Hello, This is MIchael, I am calling from the technical department..." I simply said, "This phone call is crap." I hung up. So far, so good. NO callback!
This was a fake IRS call, telling me I was guilty of tax fraud, and
I need to call another number (240-232-2197) to settle my account.
If I were gullible and afraid, I'm sure they'd get me to give them my
credit card info (or more!), and I'd be lost. So don't fall for this scam!
Called my cell number, didn't answer as I didn't know the number. I always thought that "555" wasn't used - isn't that the prefix they use for movies and tv? :-) Anyway, don't answer
