Got a call asking for someone other than me. When I said "You have the wrong number" the gentleman on the phone said, "maybe you can help me" and then started in on his charity speech about Police association or another. I didn't hear him too well because I was trying to cut him off and tell him to remove my number from his phone list but he wouldn't stop and then the phone just disconnected. I assume scam. I keep getting calls from what seems like charities I have given to in the past but if you listen to them they will insist on a credit card. If you refuse to give a credit card then they start to ask for your name and address and other information. I just tell them that if they were a real charity they would already have my contact information, especially if I gave last year. Scams! It's a shame when you cannot even accept a simple phone call anymore. Give online everyone and don't answer numbers you don't recognize.
We have 3 land lines in our home. This number has called a few times. We don't answer, but they never leave a message. Definitely seems to be a solicitation of some sort. Avoid!
