Got a call from this number saying something about a publisher in Ohio. My husband took the call and they refused to leave a name, a message or a call-back number, or clarify information.
I got the call and took it because I figured it was someone trying to get me to donate or something. They had my name, cell phone # and my address and told me that I was referred by a financial institution for being a preferred customer. I was one of the finalists in a drawing for money and cars. I wish I would have thought about it before, but they only asked me to confirm my address, asked me my age and whether I was single or married. Now I am a little afraid that I am getting conned in some way, but the information I gave does not seem like anything that they could work with. Any advice?
I got this call as well and am worried that they may be scamming me.I wish I would have been smart enough to hang up. Did you ever discover anything happening, Corey?
I also got the call. I kept waiting for the moment when they would ask for my social security number or credit card info so I would know it was a scam but they never did. It seemed like more of a survey so now I'm confused.
