This phone number calls me periodically, and when I try to call it back, it always says it's disconnected. When I did a google search, the number is connected to Waste Services Inc. in Ohio. I can't find a website or another phone number. I don't know what these people want, but I wish they would stop calling me. I've never lived in, nor will I ever live in, Ohio.
I had the same experience -- got a call from this number, when you call back the number is disconnected. Google search says the number is for some recycling company in Ohio (which is now, apparently, out of business).
FYI, the call is probably from some telemarketing scammer who is spoofing -- using a (once) valid number to call potential victims. Actually it's likely to be a computer doing the calling -- "Robocalling" randomly looking for a live number. When a human being picks up, the computer knows it's an active number & the next call will be from a person trying to scam you. The fact that they're using someone else's number (and the actual owner of the number has no idea thety're doing that) is a dead giveaway that these are crooks at work. It also makes it impossible to catch these creeps.
As always the best defense is to just not pick up any call from a number you don't recognize. Nothing else we can do. And please, no one mention that useless "Do Not Call List." As I said, you don't even know where these crooks are calling from (I doubt it's Ohio!), so how can the FCC catch them?
