Nothing spooky about it. It's looking for a live voice at all hours, which can be beneficial for other pests to know they can count on an answer 24/7. If you don't risk missing any emergencies during the night on a landline and can do without an answering device, disconnect the line, or turn off the ringer for peace.
I recieved a call from this # late at night. When answered the Ph went dead. Tried calling them back & no answer. They immediately called my husband's # and Did the same thing. Googled # said # from Baltimore. My daughter was in Baltimore & I thought it was her trying to contact us. Scary
