I received a phone call from this number earlier today. As usual, no message was left. I have been logging such mysterious, strange phone calls since May 2011. I searched through my logs and found that I had been getting phone calls from 443-205-1045 quite frequently (since I started logging calls). The best available FREE research indicates that 443-205-1045 belongs to NCO Financial. a collection agency known to be quite frequently engaged in illegal practices (according to the FTC and various state regulatory agencies in almost all states). I called 443-205-1059 from a pre-paid cell phone which I borrowed. The person I borrowed it from has provided prrof that the phone was paid for in cash, and when time was added to the phone, the time cards were paid phone in cash. The phone was activated without the use of a name or address. I called 443-205-1059 and received the following response:
1. A computer generated voice which said "thank you for calling. your call may be monitored and recorded for quality control and training purposes".
2. 15 seconds of dead air (silence)
3. A human voice which said "Good Morning and thanks for calling NCO Financial"
The call was then terminated.
On the basis of what was stated above, I would say that the caller was NCO Financial, and as research indicates, they are a debt collection agency and they engage in illegal practices.
As always, I will ONLY HAVE CONTACT WITH THE ACTUAL COMPANIES I OWE MONEY TO, AND NOT OTHER COMPANIES THAT CLAIM TO REPRESENT THEM.
