Caller ID just says "Annapolis". This is supposedly some kind of fund raising thing for the police. Unclear whether it is an outright scam or just one of those fundraisers who only gives a VERY small percent of the money raised to the cause they are collecting for.
These police "fundraisers" are some of the most coldly nasty and harassing I have ever run across - they use "polite" speech but are profoundly disrespectful of the people they call. They call from a seemingly endless variety of phone numbers (some seem spoofed, some not) and call relentlessly. They ignore uou if you try to ask them to never call again and refuse to agree to never call again. In fact, requesting that you never be called again or be put on a Do Not Call list very obviously results in getting called by them even more frequently. It is pure harassment.
